Chapter III

What to do if the next Adorer does not arrive before you have to leave.

REPOSITION

  1. Find the card under the Monstrance Throne/Stand

  2. Kneel in front of the Blessed Sacrament

  3. Say the Prayer on the card

  4. Rise, genuflect

  5. Remove the Monstrance from the throne/stand, placing it to the left

  6. Remove the luna (glass case) containing the Blessed Sacrament from the Monstrance and place It in Tabernacle, genuflect

  7. Close the Tabernacle door, lock the door and keep the key in the tabernacle door

  8. Veil the Monstrance

What to do if you arrive and the Blessed Sacrament is NOT exposed in the Monstrance?

 EXPOSITION

  1. Genuflect to tabernacle

  2. Remove veil from Monstrance

  3. Open the Tabernacle, genuflect (leave the door open)

  4. Remove the luna (glass case) containing the Blessed Sacrament, place it in the Monstrance

  5. Place the Monstrance on the throne/stand

  6. Kneel in front of the Blessed Sacrament

  7. Say the Prayer (found below)

  8. Rise, genuflect

  9. Place this card on the right side of the Altar

  10. Resume your Holy Hour

Prayer

O God, who in this wonderful Sacrament have left us a memorial of your Passion, grant us, we pray, so to revere the sacred mysteries of your Body and Blood

that we may always experience in ourselves the fruits of your redemption. Who live and reign for ever and ever.
